Scotland Memorial Foundation FUNd Run

The Scotland Memorial Foundation FUNd Run is an annual community event held in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Now in its 21st year, the event takes place on West Railroad Street and serves as a fundraiser to support health and wellness initiatives. Proceeds go toward the Diabetes Education Fund at Scotland Health Care System and the Scotland Cancer Treatment Center’s Patient Support Fund, assisting local patients and their families.

Participants can choose from two primary distances:

  • 5K
  • 1 Mile Spirit Walk

The event features specific registration categories for the general public, college students, and K-12 students. Registration includes a commemorative T-shirt for individuals who complete their registration by April 18, 2026.

Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Recognition is also provided for the top three male and female participants in several age categories, ranging from age 9 and under to 70 and older. In addition to athletic performance, the event recognizes participants with awards for the best individual costume and the best team costume.
