Sea Rim Striders FREE Summer Run/Walk Series #2, Lumberton TX
This is a free, public 5K run/walk held in Lumberton, Texas. Participation requires pre-registration and a signed waiver for each person who will be on the course; spectators do not need to sign a waiver. All registrants receive a wristband that must be worn while at the event.
The event does not provide event shirts, official timing, finisher or awards medals, or race bibs. Water stops are provided on course, and EMS or trained individuals will be on site for basic first aid. Sponsor tables and volunteers support the event; the organizing group also fields an all-volunteer board.
Course conditions vary by location and some sections are not closed to the public. Participants should be alert for motorists and other public users, and are discouraged from using headphones or earphones. Pets are not allowed on course except for service animals. Children may participate on foot or in strollers only; bicycles, skates, skateboards, scooters, and other rolling devices are not permitted on the course.
Stroller use is discouraged and requires a separate waiver if chosen. Membership in the Sea Rim Striders running club is optional and available online.
