Scrumpy Skedaddle
Scrumpy Skedaddle is a running event held on September 27, 2026, with start and finish at Almar Orchard, 1431 Duffield Rd, Flushing, MI 48433. The event offers multiple distances and a family-friendly setting at a working orchard.

The course runs on country and orchard roads lined with apple trees, combining orchard paths, dirt roads and short grassy sections. Runners should expect a flat route with possible fallen apples and tractor ruts from orchard operations. Parking is in fields near Almar Orchard and may require about a quarter mile walk to the start and finish area. Packet pickup is available on race day.
Aid stations are provided: one on the 5K and 10K courses and three on the 10 Mile course, offering water and Gatorade. Time limits apply for each distance, and finishers receive a bottle opener medal and a finisher cup. Overall awards are determined by gun time and age group awards are given three deep in five-year age groups based on chip time.
After the races there is on-site music, hard cider tasting and an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. Additional pancake tickets are available for purchase. The orchard also offers activities suitable for families. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
