Event Overview
The Screenland 5K takes place in Culver City, California, starting at Ivy Station. This athletic event incorporates cinematic themes and provides participants with a course that features movie and television experiences. The route follows a path inspired by film history, leading runners toward a red carpet finish line. The event offers multiple participation options:
- 5K: A standard 5 kilometer course for runners and walkers.
- Virtual 5K: A remote participation option for those who choose to run on their own.
- Munchkin Dash: A 1 mile distance for children aged 17 and under.
Participant Experiences
The course includes themed entertainment and support stations. Participants in the 5K receive a commemorative bib, an official recorded time, a medal, and a shirt. Those registered for the Munchkin Dash receive a bib, shirt, and medal; while a clock is present at the finish line, official times for the youth run are not recorded or published. All participants have access to free downloadable event photos and a post-race party.
Beach to City Challenge
The Screenland 5K is part of a multi-race series known as the Beach to City Challenge. Participants who complete both this event and the BRA Run receive a bonus medal. This challenge requires finishing the Screenland 5K followed by either the 5K or 13K distance at the BRA Run. Qualifications are updated on the partner race website prior to the event held at Dockweiler Beach. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
