Screaming Pumpkin is an October 24, 2026 running event at Lower Glen Oak Park, North Prospect Road, Peoria, IL. The event benefits The Yellow Bear Foundation and is part of the Holiday Race Series. Timing and scoring are provided by ShaZam Racing.

Distances offered include:

• 2 mile Run/Walk
• 6.55 mile (approximately 10k) race
• Half marathon
• Full marathon
• Marathon relay (four person)

Courses start and finish along the boulevard in Lower Glen Oak Park. The half marathon runs the 6.55 mile course two times; the full marathon and the marathon relay run the course four times. The course is marked with cones, turn arrows, and glowsticks placed approximately every 5–10 feet. Green glowsticks indicate the correct path; keep green on the right. Red glowsticks mark hazards and should be avoided or treated with caution.

Packet pickup is available Friday at RC Outfitters (311 SW Water Street, FL-1, Peoria) and on race day at Lower Glen Oak Park; packet pickup closes at 6:00 PM. All participants receive a long sleeve race shirt; half and full marathon entrants also receive a Yellow Bear quarter zip, which is available for purchase during registration. Finisher medals are awarded at the finish line for the 6.55 mile race, half marathon, full marathon, and marathon relay.

Additional notes: costumes are encouraged and Sparklee Body Art is available beginning at 4:00 PM. Headlamps are required for the full marathon, marathon relay, and half marathon; they are encouraged for the 6.55 mile and not required for the 2 mile. An aid station at the cemetery provides water and Lemon Lime Gatorade, and GU Roctane energy gels are available at packet pickup and at the cemetery aid station.
