Screaming Pumpkin - Peoria, IL
The Screaming Pumpkin is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Lower Glen Oak Park, North Prospect Road, Peoria, IL. The event offers on-site and virtual options and benefits The Yellow Bear Foundation, a nonprofit focused on Primary Immunodeficiency awareness and research.
Distances offered include:
- Full Marathon
- Marathon Relay (4 person)
- Half Marathon
- 6.55 Mile (10kish)

Courses start and finish along the boulevard in Lower Glen Oak Park. The entire course is marked with cones, turn arrows, and glowsticks spaced roughly every 5–10 feet; green glowsticks indicate the correct path and red glowsticks indicate hazards.
Headlamps are required for the full marathon, marathon relay, and half marathon, and encouraged for the 6.55 mile event. On-course fluids include water and lemon-lime Gatorade at the cemetery aid station. GU Roctane Energy Gels (Sea Salt Chocolate) will be available at packet pickup and at the cemetery aid station.
Packet pickup locations include RC Outfitters in Peoria on the Friday before the event and Lower Glen Oak Park on race day. All participants receive a long sleeve race shirt; half and full marathon entrants also receive a Yellow Bear quarter zip. Finisher medals are awarded at the finish line for the 6.55 mile, half marathon, full marathon, and marathon relay. Participants receive a food ticket on their bib redeemable for a hot dog or pork chop meal from Tony's On Wheels, with additional menu items available for purchase.
