Screaming Pumpkin takes place on October 24, 2026 at Lower Glen Oak Park in Peoria, Illinois. The event offers a selection of timed races and a virtual option, with courses that start and finish along the park boulevard. The 6.55 mile course is used as the basis for longer distances: the half marathon runs that course twice, while the full marathon and the four-person marathon relay run it four times.

Course marking relies on cones, turn arrows, and glowsticks placed approximately every 5 to 10 feet. Glowstick colors indicate routing and hazards: green marks the correct path, and red signals caution. Headlamps are required for the full marathon, marathon relay, and half marathon, and encouraged for the 6.55 mile race. Aid at the cemetery station includes water and Lemon-Lime Gatorade; GU Roctane energy gels are provided for the 2 mile event at packet pickup and at the aid station.
All participants receive a long-sleeve race shirt; half and full marathon entrants also receive a Yellow Bear quarter zip. Finisher medals are awarded at the finish for the 6.55 mile, half marathon, full marathon, and marathon relay. Packet pickup is available the day before at RC Outfitters and on race day at Lower Glen Oak Park; packet pickup closes at 6:00pm.
