Scouts Honour Backyard Ultra : Hollinwood Scout Camp, Worsley
The Scouts Honour Backyard Ultra is a trail backyard ultra held within a working scout camp at Hollinwood Scout Camp, Sheep Pen Lane, Worsley, Manchester, M28 1YB. The field is capped at 100 athletes and the event combines competitive and personal goals.
Runners complete two off-road loops that run across fields and into shaded woodland trails. Each loop must be completed within the hour to earn the right to start the next loop; the race continues until a single competitor remains. The course is described as flat and fully off road, offering fast, runnable terrain throughout.
Prize money is awarded to the overall winner, with an additional award for anyone who exceeds 100 miles. Entries include an entry ticket, a participant DNF mug, and the winner receives a trophy, mug and prize money. Event provisions include a pitch to set up a rest area, parking for one car per athlete, drinks and snacks, and hot and cold water. Parking for visitors is available on a first come, first served basis.
