Scouts Honour Backyard Ultra
The Scouts Honour Backyard Ultra is held at Hollinwood Scout Camp in Worsley, Manchester, within a working scout camp. The event uses a flat, fully off road trail that starts across open field ground and flows into shaded woodland trails, offering fast, runnable terrain.
Runners complete two off road loops and begin a new loop every hour on the hour. If a runner completes the loop within the hour they may start again; the event continues until only one competitor remains. The field is capped at 100 athletes.
Prize money is awarded to the overall winner, with an additional prize for anyone who exceeds 100 miles. Dogs are not allowed on site. Facilities and provisions listed for participants include an entry ticket, a bespoke DNF metal mug, a winner's trophy and mug, a pitch to set up a rest area, parking for one car per athlete, drinks and a snack, and hot and cold water. Visitor parking is provided on a first come, first served basis.
