Scouting America Troop 597 Remembrance Run/Walk
The event brings the community together to remember service members, those still serving, and families of those who have served in the US Armed Forces. It also serves as an opportunity for Scouts to support youth leadership activities and program costs such as summer camp and equipment.
The event takes place at Amity Community Park, 1967 Weavertown Rd, Douglassville, PA, on May 16, 2026.

- 1.5 Mile Walk
The 5K course follows two figure-eight loops on the Amity Community Park Trail and includes uphill and downhill sections; much of the course runs downhill. Walkers complete one figure-eight loop. Water stations are located throughout the course and race stewards guide participants along the route. Each registrant is to receive a Remembrance Run/Walk t-shirt in adult sizes S to XXL; registrations after May 1 may not be guaranteed a shirt or timing. Finisher medals are provided to each participant at the finish line.
Entry fees are listed as $35 per participant and $40 for late registration. Awards include top 1-3 overall for women and men and top 1-3 in each age group: 18 and under, 19-34, 35-49, and 50 and over. Timing is provided by Bryn MawrRacing Co. and results will be published by the timing company. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
