Event Overview
The Scott Trot is a 5K run and walk event. This is the third annual edition. The event takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The location is American Legion Post 17 on American Legion Road in Lewes, Delaware.
Race Details
There are two registration categories for participants.
- 5K Registration: For runners and walkers.
- COMPETITIVE WALKING 5K: For participants who will walk the entire distance without running or jogging.
Day-of-race registration is available. The event benefits the Blood Bank of Delmarva and is held in memory of Scott Peterson.
Amenities and Awards
Registered participants receive a tee shirt. Post-race refreshments and music are provided.
Awards are given in several categories. Top finisher awards for overall and masters (age 40+) winners are based on gun time. All other age group awards are based on chip time. Awards are presented to the top three male and female participants in 10-year age groups from 13 & under to 70 & over. There are also awards for the top three male and female walkers.
Additional Information
The event is chip-timed using the MYLAPS BibTag system. Results are posted online during and after the race. Photos are posted on the organizer's Facebook page following the event.
