Event

The SCOTT Sports Summer Cheviot Goat is scheduled for Saturday 20 June 2026 at Ingram Village Hall, Ingram, Northumberland (NE66 4LU). The event is a roughly 50-mile ultra-run on a loop that crosses the largest hills in the border region. The course runs through a sparsely populated area and the final route is sometimes confirmed only a few days before the event. Each participant receives a GPS tracker and there is a 24-hour time limit to reach the finish. The outright winner receives the Edwin Nelson Cup. Prizes are awarded to top finishers and all participants receive a t-shirt and a medal. Camping is available on the field next to event headquarters for £25 per tent or van.

Entry, fees and policies

Entries are not yet open and the closing date is Sunday 14 June 2026. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entry fees (plus a 6% booking fee) are listed in tiered amounts by date:

  • UKA Member: £95.00; £125.00 (from 31/01/2026); £180.00 (from 31/05/2026)
  • Non Member: £97.00; £127.00 (from 31/01/2026); £182.00 (from 31/05/2026)

Refunds or deferrals are not available and entries cannot be transferred to another person. There is an optional XCover purchase that may allow a refund in specific unforeseen circumstances.
