SCOTT Sports Winter Cheviot Goat
The SCOTT Sports Winter Cheviot Goat is a winter ultra event scheduled for 5 December 2026 at Ingram Village Hall, Ingram, Northumberland. The race is organised by Cold Brew Events Ltd and is licensed by the Trail Running Association and run under UK Athletics rules.
The course is a roughly 55-mile (ish) winter ultra that follows a loop across the largest hills in the border region. The route is subject to change and the final course is sometimes confirmed only a few days before the event because of variable conditions. The event provides GPS trackers for competitors and sets a 24 hour time limit for reaching the finish.
This race is described as a hard winter event and entry is restricted to those with prior ultra-running experience. Minimum age for entry is 18. Entries open 9 December 2025 and close 22 November 2026. Entry fees are listed as UKA member £220.00 and non member £222.00, plus a 6% booking fee. There is no refund, deferral, or substitution policy for entries; an optional XCover product is offered for possible refunds for unforeseen circumstances.
Prizes include the Edwin Nelson Cup for the outright winner, additional prizes for top finishers, and a t-shirt and medal for all participants. Camping next to event headquarters is available at £30 per tent or van, and parking is £10 per car. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
