SCOTT Sports Winter Cheviot Goat

The SCOTT Sports Winter Cheviot Goat is a winter ultra running event held in the Cheviot hills with Ingram Village Hall, Ingram, Northumberland (NE66 4LU) as event HQ. The course is a roughly 55-mile loop across the largest hills in the border region; due to weather and terrain variables the exact route is often confirmed only a few days before the event.

The event is a licensed Trail Running Association race and is run under UK Athletics rules. Every entrant receives a GPS tracker for monitoring, and participants are required to complete the course within a 24-hour time limit. The event includes awards: the outright winner receives the Edwin Nelson Cup, with prizes for top finishers, and a t-shirt and medal for all finishers.

Entry details: entries open 9 December 2025 and close 22 November 2026. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entry fees are listed separately for UKA members and non-members; an additional booking fee applies. Refunds, deferrals, and entry substitutions are not available. Participants may purchase optional XCover entry insurance.

Camping is available on the field next to event HQ for a stated fee per tent or van, and parking is charged per car. The organiser is Cold Brew Events in partnership with SCOTT Sports. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
