Event details

The SCOTT Sports Winter Cheviot Goat is a winter ultra-run held on 6 December 2025 at Ingram Village Hall, Ingram, Northumberland, NE66 4LU. The route is a loop across the largest hills in the border region and is set in the Cheviot hills. The advertised distance is 55-mile (ish). The event is described as a hard winter race and is intended for runners with ultra-running experience and familiarity with winter conditions. Every runner receives a GPS tracker and participants have 24 hours to reach the finish. The course can change because of variable conditions and the final route is often confirmed only a few days before the event. The outright winner receives the Edwin Nelson Cup; there are prizes for top finishers and a t-shirt and medal for all finishers.

Logistics and entry

Entries open 17 January 2025 and close 23 November 2025. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Entry fees are listed as UKA Member £220.00 and Non Member £222.00, plus a 6% booking fee. Camping is available on the field next to event HQ at a cost of £25 per tent or van. The organiser states that refunds or deferrals are not available and entry substitution is not permitted.
