Event Overview
The Schweizer Fest 6 Mile Road Run is part of a two-distance event held in Tell City, Indiana. The 2026 edition will be its 49th running. It is hosted by Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each five-year age group and gender, with a special award for the top male and female in each race.
Courses
The event offers two distances:
- 6 Mile Fun Run
- 2 Mile Fun Run
Both courses start on 7th Street near Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center and go through Tell City's historic downtown area. The 2 mile course is described as a fast, flat route within the downtown area.
The 6 mile route also starts downtown before proceeding to Mozart Street. There, runners ascend a hill that climbs 200 feet vertically over one mile, with minor grade breaks. The route then descends on Tell Street before finishing on Main Street.
A separate, free Kids Fun Run for children aged 7 and under is also held. This is a two-block (0.25 mile) run starting at Frostop on Main Street and finishing near City Hall. Participants receive a bib and ribbon, and registration is done on race day.
