Schweizer Fest 2 & 6 Mile Road Run
The Schweizer Fest road races take place in Tell City and pass through the citys historic downtown. The event is hosted by Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center and includes two measured running distances with on-course hydration and post-race recovery services provided.
Distances offered:
- 2 Miles: a fast, flat downtown route with a hydration station at the 1 mile mark.
- 6 Miles: downtown then a 1 mile, 200 foot vertical climb on Mozart Street with hydration stations at each mile and an additional station shortly after the start of the climb; another water point is located near the 4 mile mark before the downhill to the Main Street finish.
Entry fee for each race is $30.00. The shirt deadline is June 28. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each five year age group by gender, and a special award is presented to the top male and female in each race.
A free Kids Fun Run of approximately two blocks (0.25 mile) is held for children 7 years old and under; participants receive a racing bib and ribbon. Kids may pick up a bib at Fulton and Main or at the starting line on race day. Post-race recovery services are provided by Advanced Rehabilitation, Inc.
