Schweizer Fest 2 & 6 Mile Road Run
The event takes place on August 8, 2026, in Tell City, Indiana, with courses running through the city's historic downtown. Both distances start on 7th Street near Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center and finish along Main Street.
Available race distances:
- 2 Miles, fast flat route through downtown
- 6 Miles, includes a one mile 200 foot climb on Mozart Street
The 2 mile course has a hydration station at the 1 mile mark. The 6 mile course includes hydration stations at each mile; additional water stations are placed shortly after the start of the climb and near the four mile mark before the downhill to the finish. The 6 mile route ascends Mozart Street and then descends on Tell Street to the Main Street finish.
Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group and gender, with a special award for the top male and top female in each race. Age groups are broken down in five year increments.
A kids fun run of approximately two blocks (0.25 mile) is held for children age seven and under. This kids event is free, does not require prior registration, and race bibs may be picked up at Fulton and Main or at the starting line.
