Schweizer Fest 2 & 6 Mile Road Run, Tell City IN
Schweizer Fest 2 & 6 Mile Road Run takes place on August 8, 2026 in Tell City, Indiana. The event is based at 710 Fulton St and is the 49th running. Two road races pass through Tell City's historic downtown during Schweizer Fest. Everybody's Fun & Fitness Center hosts the event and it is open to runners and walkers.
- 2 Miles - a fast, flat route through downtown.
- 6 Miles - downtown then a one mile, 200 foot climb on Mozart Street.
The 6 mile course includes a climb on Mozart Street at about the halfway point with minor grade breaks before a descent to Main Street. Hydration stations are located at each mile along the route; additional water stations are placed shortly after the climb begins and at the four mile mark. Morning conditions in August are typically hot with high humidity.
Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group and gender, and a special award is given to the top male and female in each race. Age groups are broken into five year increments. Post race recovery services are provided by Advanced Rehabilitation, Inc.
A kids fun run of approximately two blocks (0.25 miles) is offered for children age seven and under. The kids run starts at Frostop on Main Street and finishes under the balloon near City Hall; participants receive a bib and ribbon and entry is free with no prior registration required.
