Schoolcraft Firecracker 5
The Schoolcraft Firecracker 5 is part of the Schoolcraft Fourth of July celebration and serves as a fundraiser for the Schoolcraft Athletic Boosters. Proceeds support student athletes and coaches. The event takes place on July 4, 2026, at Schoolcraft Community Schools, High School, 551 E. Lyons St., Schoolcraft, MI 49087.
Distances offered include:
- 5 Miles 5 Mile Run
- 5K 5K Walk
Registration opens March 1, 2026. Standard pre-registration is listed at $35; late and race day pricing for the 5K run and walk is $40. A family discount of $5 off each registration applies for families of four or more. Race day walk-up registration is permitted.
Packet pickup is scheduled on July 3 (early packet pickup) and on July 4 (race day packet pickup) at the high school location above. The event T-shirt deadline is June 15, 2026.
The 5 Mile Run includes awards for overall male and female winners, masters 40 and over male and female, and age division awards for the top three in each division: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. There are no awards for the 5K Walk. Timing and scoring for the 5 Mile Run are provided by Mac's Sports Timing using ChronoTrack technology, with live results available on RunSignUp and official results posted after the event.
