Schoolcraft Firecracker 5
The Schoolcraft Firecracker 5 is a community race held on July 4, 2026 at Schoolcraft High School, 551 E. Lyons St., Schoolcraft, Michigan. The event raises funds for the Schoolcraft Athletic Boosters to support student-athletes and coaches. It has been part of the town's Fourth of July celebration for decades.
Packet pickup is available the day before and on race day at Schoolcraft Community Schools, High School. Race day registration is available at the high school and walk-up registrations are welcome.
Registration opens March 1, 2026. Pre-registration pricing is $35 and late or race day pricing for the 5K Run/Walk is $40. A special family rate offers $5 off each registration for families of four or more. The deadline to request an event T shirt is June 15, 2026.
Timing and scoring for the 5 Mile Run are provided by Mac's Sports Timing using ChronoTrack technology. Live results will be posted during the event and official results will be posted after the event.
Awards apply to the 5 Mile Run only. Prizes include overall winners for male and female, Masters 40 and over for male and female, and top three in each age division: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. No awards are given for the 5K Walk.
