School Nurse Fun Run
The School Nurse Fun Run is a non-competitive community event held on October 1, 2026 at Kollen Park, the event's new location. The event offers both a running route and a walk/run route and is presented by Holland Hospital to support school health services.
Distances offered:
- 5K run route
- 1.5 mile walk/run route
Proceeds support Holland Hospital's School Nurse Program. Since 2013 the event has raised over $432,400 for the program. Students may participate free of charge by setting a personal health goal such as a physical challenge, a change in eating habits, or starting a new wellness activity.
The School Nurse Program has operated since 1998 and serves more than 13,000 students in 29 school buildings. Participating districts and schools include Holland Public Schools, Holland Christian Schools, Fennville Public Schools, Hamilton Community Schools, West Ottawa Public Schools, and Zeeland Christian Schools.
