Event Overview
The Holland Leprechaun Chase 5K is a community running event in Holland, Michigan. It marks its 10th annual edition in 2026, founded by the Holland Running Club. The event includes a 5K and a separate children's race called the Holland Wee Chase for ages 4–8.
Course
The 5K is a fully closed-road course. It starts and finishes at Centennial Park at the intersection of 10th Street and Central Avenue. The route goes through downtown Holland and along the waterfront, passing through the Scenic Window and Windmill Island Gardens. Streets are barricaded, and Holland police and volunteers are present on the course.
What's Included
Registration for the 5K includes a guaranteed custom race shirt, a guaranteed custom finisher medal, a custom race bib, professional chip timing by Epic Timing, post-race drinks and snacks, and finish-line donut holes from DeBoer’s Bakery. The finish area features a DJ or live music.
The Holland Wee Chase kids' race includes a custom shirt, a finisher medal, a custom bib, and finish-line treats. The course is supervised, with age groups for 4-year-olds, 5–6-year-olds, and 7–8-year-olds.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race at Gazelle on 8th street and on race day morning at The Curragh. The children's race starts first, followed by the 5K.
