Scheels BurliMOT Half Marathon, Relay, 5K, and 1 Mile Walk/Run/Roll
The Scheels BurliMOT event takes place in Burlington and Minot, North Dakota, across September 11 and 12, 2026. The centerpiece is a 13.1 mile half marathon that follows the Souris Valley along dedicated running and biking paths and finishes in downtown Minot at Citizens Alley. Packet pickup is available in Oak Park at 1300 4th Ave NW on September 11 and on race morning at Citizens Alley.

All participants registered for the half marathon, half marathon relay, or 5K by September 1 will receive a custom BurliMOT shirt. Medals are provided to finishers of the half marathon, half marathon relay, and 5K.
Relay teams may exchange anywhere along the course; teams can include up to four runners. The relay’s halfway point is near Dakota Bark Park at 2905 7th Ave SW, Minot; there is no shuttle to that point and teams should plan logistics accordingly. Bag drop is available at start locations with transport to Citizens Alley.
The half marathon, 5K, and relay are chip timed with the chip attached to the bib. The 1 mile walk run roll is not timed and welcomes mobility aids. There are eight water stations on the half marathon course and Powerade at four stations. Restrooms are available at the starts, at the finish, and via porta potties along the course.
Prizes are awarded to top finishers in the half marathon and 5K with additional age group awards. A post run event at the finish includes food trucks, an outdoor bar, yard games, and music. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
