Hair of the Dog - Minot
The Hair of the Dog is a multi-event day at Atypical Brewery & Barrelworks in Minot. The event aims to give back to local animal rescue organizations. The day includes several distinct activities.
Available Events:
- Hair of the Dog 5K (a timed run/walk where dogs are welcome)
- Hair of the Dog Beer Mile (an individual event with four beers and four quarter-mile laps)
- Hair of the Dog Beer Mile Relay Team (a team version of the beer mile)
- Hair of the Dog Kids Donut Dash (for children 12 and under, involving eating a donut and running a quarter-mile)
- Hair of the Dog Wiener Dog Derby (a race for Dachshunds and Dachshund mixes)
All human participants in the 5K receive a signature mug and a free post-run beer from the brewery. Beer Mile participants also receive a mug and the four beers used in the event. Kids in the Donut Dash get a participation medal, and Wiener Dog participants receive a treat bag and a custom bandana.
Awards are given for top finishers in the 5K, Beer Mile, and Wiener Dog Derby. The event is described as family-friendly and social. There will be food trucks, pet-friendly vendor booths, and local rescues present. Signature event shirts and stickers will be available for purchase, with profits going to animal rescues.
