Scarecrow Shuffle
The Scarecrow Shuffle is a multi-distance running and walking event held at Peddler's Village in Lahaska, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The event takes place during the autumn season and coincides with the annual Scarecrows in the Village attraction, which features large scarecrow displays throughout the property. Participants are encouraged to dress in scarecrow or fall-themed costumes for a costume contest, though dressing up is not a requirement for participation.
The event offers several distances to accommodate different ages and abilities:
- 8k Run (5 miles)
- 5k Run (3.1 miles)
- 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk (1 mile)
- 1/4 Mile Kids' Run (0.5 miles)
The 8k and 5k races are timed events. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners, as well as the top three finishers in various age categories ranging from 9 and under to 80-89. The 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk and the Kids' Run are non-competitive events focused on participation. All finishers receive an event giveaway.
Located at the intersection of Route 202 and Street Road, the event serves as a fundraiser for the Bucks County Opportunity Council. The venue provides access to local shops and the scarecrow competition displays for attendees to visit after their races. This is a rain or shine event, and registration fees are non-refundable.
