Event overview

Scare in White Bear is a torch-lit Halloween 5K and a .5-mile Fun Run held at White Bear Lake, Minnesota. The course follows a paved lakeside path along Memorial Beach/Lake Avenue and includes Halloween decorations, a holiday-themed photo booth, glow stick necklaces and bracelets, and a kids Halloween party with beach trick-or-treating before the run. The 5K course includes a turnaround with a water stop. Strollers and leashed dogs are allowed. Parents who run with children on the .5-mile fun run should register for the parents' fun run. Post-race activities at Memorial Beach include an awards ceremony and a kids Halloween party. Awards include Halloween-themed overall awards for top male and female finishers and age-group ribbons for the top three in each listed age division, with presence required to receive awards or arrange shipping at the participant’s cost. Packet pick-up occurs at Memorial Beach on race day and packets include race bibs, timing chips, glow items, and event shirts when selected.
