Scare in White Bear - Halloween 5K & Fun Run
Scare in White Bear is a Halloween-themed nighttime fun run on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Memorial Beach on the shores of White Bear Lake in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. The event features a torch-lit 5K on a paved lakeside path and a kids fun run along the beach. Glow necklaces and bracelets are provided for participants, and the course includes a water stop at the 5K turnaround.
The event offers Halloween decorations, a spooky photo booth with professional photography at no extra cost, and kid-friendly trick-or-treating stations on the beach. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome, and costumes are encouraged. Packet pick-up at Memorial Beach includes race bibs, timing chips, glow accessories, and event shirts for those who selected them. Shirt sizing notes: women's shirts are fitted and run small; men's shirts are generously sized. Age-group awards and overall Halloween-themed awards are presented; fun run finishers receive medals and Halloween goodie bags. Winners must be present to collect awards or arrange and pay for shipping. A 10 percent military discount is available for paper registrations submitted with a check.
