2026 Scarborough 5K

The Scarborough 5K is a community event held at Morningside Park, located at 390 Morningside Ave in Scarborough, Ontario. Presented by Black Runners of the GTA (BRGTA) and the Canada Running Series Foundation, the 2026 edition marks the fifth anniversary of the event. It is designed as a celebration of local pride, focusing on accessibility and inclusivity within the running community.

The event features two distances:

5 km
1 km Kids Run

Registration for the event includes entry into the race, finisher souvenirs, and a vibrant race-day experience. A mandatory charitable donation is integrated into the registration fee, with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of East Scarborough (BGC East Scarborough). These funds assist in providing opportunities for local youth and families.

Race kits are available for pickup onsite at the park on the day of the event. To support broader participation, the organizers offer a Race Entry Grant Program to help reduce financial barriers.
