Rab Scafell Sky Race 2026

Rab Scafell Sky Race is scheduled for 6 June 2026 and is based in the central Lake District at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn. The route covers 38 km with 2800 m of ascent. The event uses technical single-track trails and sections of scree across Lakeland fells and valleys, and the course includes a summit of England’s highest mountain.

The route is described as newly designed and allows runners to pass from Lanty Slees Stickle Barn over Lakeland terrain and through valleys. The race has a maximum time allowed of 12 hours. Entrants must be at least 19 years old on race day. Entries are not formally vetted; by entering competitors attest to their competence to complete the course and may be expelled if they deliberately misrepresent their experience or ability.

Included in the entry fee are a fully marked course, two fully supplied feed stations and mountain manned checkpoints, electronic timing and tracking from Open Tracking, a professional safety officer and safety team, a finishers’ Seed Bomb Medal, live music, and a ranking for Skyrunning UK as part of the Skyrunner National Series for the UK and Ireland. Optional extras available through the entry system include a race tee, branded goat-bells for supporters, and post-race massage. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
