Scafell Sky Ultra

The Scafell Sky Ultra is a 60 km route with 4400 m of ascent. The event takes place on June 6, 2026. It starts and finishes at the Lanty Slees Stickle Barn in Great Langdale.

The route incorporates sections of the Scafell Sky Race. It travels over Kirk Fell, through Wasdale, over Scafell Pike, into Great Langdale, and then over to the Coniston Fells via the Prison Band ridge between Swirl How and Wetherlam.

Entry includes a fully marked course, three fully-supplied feed stations, manned checkpoints, electronic timing and tracking, a safety team, and a finisher's Seed Bomb Medal. Post-race vegan soup is provided. The maximum allowed time to complete the course is 15 hours.

Optional extras for purchase include a branded cotton t-shirt, solid brass goat bells, and post-race massage.

The event is part of the Skyrunner National Series for the UK and Ireland. There is no vetting process for entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
