Rab Scafell Sky Ultra 2026 : event details

Rab Scafell Sky Ultra takes place on Saturday 6 June 2026 and is based at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn in the Central Lake District. The route covers 60 km of mountain terrain with 4400 m of ascent on technical, single-track trails. The course runs through central and southern Lakeland fells and includes the highest mountain in England. The event has a maximum time allowed of 15 hours.

Entry, requirements and race support

Entry is open from 4 October 2025 and closes on 8 May 2026. Standard entry fees are £120, increasing to £130 from 1 December 2025 and £140 from 1 March 2026. Minimum age on race day is 19. Entries are not vetted, but entrants must detail relevant mountain running experience at entry and should be skilled and confident on steep, technical terrain to meet cut-offs. Included with entry are a fully marked course, four supplied feed stations with manned checkpoints, electronic timing and tracking, a professional safety officer and supporting safety team, and a finishers’ seed-bomb medal.
