Scafell Sky Ultra 2027
Scafell Sky Ultra is a mountain ultramarathon based at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn in the Central and Southern Lake District. The course covers 63 km with 4400 m of ascent and has a maximum time allowed of 15 hours.
The route is run on technical single track trails and ridge lines and includes the highest summit in England. The event features a fully marked course, four fully supplied feed stations with manned checkpoints, electronic timing and tracking provided by Open Tracking, and a professional safety officer with a supporting safety team. The race is ranked for Skyrunning UK as part of the Skyrunner National Series for the UK and Ireland. Entries are not vetted and the minimum entry age is 19 on race day.
Entries open on 8 June 2026 and close on 7 May 2027. Entry fee tiers are listed as £120, rising to £130 from 30 November 2026 and £140 from 28 February 2027. Optional extras available through the entry system include a race cotton tee (£40), branded goat bells for support teams (£25), and a post-race massage (£25 with 25% donated to a local school).
