Rab Scafell Sky Ultra 2027
The Rab Scafell Sky Ultra takes place on Saturday 5 June 2027 in the Central Lake District. The route covers 63km with 4400m of ascent and a maximum allowed time of 15 hours. The race runs through central and southern Lakeland fells and includes the highest summit in England.
The course is described as technical and played out on single track trails from start to finish. Ridges and mountain terrain form much of the route, with a mix of steep sections and exposed ground that require mountain running skills and route awareness.
Entry requires participants to be at least 19 years old on race day. Entries open on 1 October 2026 at 08:00 and close on 7 May 2027. Entries are not vetted. Entry fees are tiered, starting at £120 and increasing to £130 and then £140 on specified dates.
Included with entry are a fully marked course, four fully supplied feed stations with manned checkpoints, a finisher's Seed Bomb Medal, electronic timing and tracking via Open Tracking, and a safety officer with a supporting safety team. The event is part of the Skyrunner National Series for the UK and Ireland.
Optional extras available for purchase include a race quality cotton tee, brass goat bells for support crews, and a post race massage with a portion donated to a local school. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
