Rab Scafell Sky Race 2026
Rab Scafell Sky Race takes place on Saturday 6 June 2026, based at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn in the Central Lake District. The course is a point-to-point mountain route of 38 km with 2800 m ascent, run on technical single-track trails and scree and including summit sections. The maximum time allowed is 12 hours. Minimum age to enter is 19 on race day.
Entries open 4 October 2025 and close 15 May 2026. Entry fee is £120 (rising to £130 from 01/03/2026). Entries are not vetted; entrants must attest they are competent to complete the course and may be expelled for deliberately misleading the organiser. Included with entry are fully marked course, two fully supplied feed stations and manned mountain checkpoints, electronic timing and tracking from Open Tracking, a finisher’s Seed Bomb medal, and safety cover provided by a professional safety officer and team. The event is organised by Lake District Sky Trails and holds a ranking within Skyrunning UK.
Rab Scafell Sky Ultra 2026
Rab Scafell Sky Ultra is scheduled for Saturday 6 June 2026, also based at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn in the Central Lake District. The route covers mountain terrain of 60 km with 4400 m ascent, run on technical single-track trails and ridge lines, and includes the highest summit in England. The maximum time allowed is 15 hours. Minimum age to enter is 19 on race day.
Entries open 4 October 2025 and close 8 May 2026. Entry fee is £130 (rising to £140 from 01/03/2026). Entries are not vetted; entrants are asked to detail relevant mountain running experience at entry and must attest competence to complete the route. Included with entry are a fully marked course, four fully supplied feed stations and manned checkpoints, electronic timing and tracking, a finisher’s Seed Bomb medal, and professional safety provision.
