Rab Scafell Sky Race 2026
The Rab Scafell Sky Race takes place on Saturday 6 June 2026 from Lanty Slees Stickle Barn in the central Lake District. The course covers 38 km with 2800 m of ascent on technical, single-track trails and includes a summit of England’s highest mountain. The event is fully marked, uses electronic timing and Open Tracking, and has two fully supplied feed stations with manned mountain checkpoints. The maximum time allowed is 12 hours.
Entries open 4 October 2025 and close 15 May 2026. Minimum age is 19 on race day. Entries are not vetted; entrants attest their competence to complete the course and may be expelled if they deliberately misrepresent their experience. Entry fees are tiered: £110 (base), £120 from 01/12/2025, £130 from 01/03/2026. The event is organised by Lake District Sky Trails and is part of the Skyrunning UK series.
Rab Scafell Sky Ultra 2026
The Rab Scafell Sky Ultra is scheduled for Saturday 6 June 2026, based at Lanty Slees Stickle Barn. The route covers approximately 60 km with 4400 m of ascent over technical, single-track mountain terrain through central and southern Lakeland fells, including the highest summit in England. The course is fully marked, uses electronic timing and Open Tracking, and includes four fully supplied feed stations with manned checkpoints. The maximum time allowed is 15 hours.
Entries open 4 October 2025 and close 8 May 2026. Minimum age is 19 on race day. Entries are not vetted; entrants are asked to detail relevant running experience at entry but remain responsible for their own preparation. Entry fees are tiered: £120 (base), £130 from 01/12/2025, £140 from 01/03/2026. The event is organised by Lake District Sky Trails and carries a Skyrunning UK ranking.
