About the race
SayStrong 5K is a community Halloween event held in Ellijay, Georgia on October 31, 2026. It combines running and family-focused activities at 1365 S Main Street with food trucks, music, trick-or-treating, yard games, and a costume contest.
The event offers multiple running and participation options:
- 5K
- 1 mile
Additional options include a Tot Trot for young children (walking only) and a Ghost Runner virtual entry that does not require in-person attendance. The 5K race will be officially timed.
Registration opens on 2026-06-12 and closes on 2026-10-29. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $30.00 for the 5K run/walk, the 1 mile fun run, and the Ghost Runner virtual option, and $0.00 for the Tot Trot.
Race proceeds are designated to adopt a room permanently at the Ronald McDonald House Atlanta, providing a place for families to stay while a child is in the hospital. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
