Sawmill Ultra - Mt. Charleston, NV
Sawmill Ultra is a trail event held in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest at Lee Canyon, Mt. Charleston. The course is made of three counterclockwise loops with approximate mileages: a 5.64 mile loop, an 8.2 mile loop, and a 4.3 mile loop. Runners may enter solo or as part of a three-person relay; relay teams complete all three loops with each team member running one loop and tagging the next.

The event is cup-less; participants should bring hydration packs to refill at aid stations. Marathoners and ultramarathoners are provided gel electrolytes and Gatorade at aid stations. Packet pickup and a bag-drop area are located at the staging area before the race. Food service includes grilled items, hot dishes, and hot coffee; vegetarian options are noted. Beer is available in canned form for guests aged 21 and over; ID is required.
Parking is at Sawmill Trailhead with a short walk back down a dirt trail to the start; parking on the highway is prohibited. Elevation at the Sawmill area is listed around 7,500 feet. Awards are given for first through third place, male and female, for all distances. Virtual entrants may upload results and receive a mailed medal and shirt; refunds are not offered if the event is canceled, but entries may transfer to another Triple Dare event.
