Sawmill Ultra is a trail event in Lee Canyon within the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest near Mt. Charleston, Nevada. The event is organized by Triple Dare Running Co. and includes both solo and relay options on a multi‑loop course.
The course is made up of three loops run counterclockwise in the order listed: loop one about 5.64 miles, loop two about 8.2 miles, and loop three about 4.3 miles. Solo distance options include 38.45 miles, 26.2 miles, 19.23 miles, 13.1 miles, 10k, and 5k. The relay format is a three person team where each runner completes one loop before tagging the next runner; one full rotation of the three loops totals 19.22 miles, and repeating the rotation yields 38.45 miles for the team.
Support on site includes hot food, coffee, and vegetarian options, plus canned beer distributed to attendees over 21 with ID. Virtual runners may upload their own results and receive a mailed medal and t shirt; registering two weeks before the event is recommended to guarantee a shirt. The staging area and course sit at roughly 7,500 feet elevation and typical June temperatures are listed around 85°F high and 70°F low. Wildlife and high desert flora are noted along the route.
