The Sawmill Ultra takes place in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest at the Sawmill trailhead in Lee Canyon, Mt. Charleston, NV. The staging area is at Blue Tree Group Camp; GPS is 36.3617, -115.635. The event location sits around 7,500 feet elevation and typical June temperatures are listed near 85/70 Fahrenheit.
The course uses three loops run counterclockwise in the order of the 5.64 mile loop, the 8.2 mile loop, then the 4.3 mile loop. Race options include solo distances and relay formats; relay teams complete all loops with each team member running one loop and tagging the next runner. Course totals noted include 19.22 miles for one full set of loops and 38.45 miles for two sets.

Free canned cold beer will be available for participants 21 and older with ID; non-runners are asked to donate for beer. Virtual entrants may upload results and receive a mailed medal and t-shirt if registered early enough. Packet pickup is at the staging area. Volunteers earn credit toward future races.
