Event and location

Save the Drama for your Llama is a six-hour trail run held on April 4, 2026, at Luhr County Park, 3178 S County Road 150 W, La Porte, IN 46350, United States. The event is organized by Crazy Legs Race Series and Paul Stofko. Registration is required and fees vary by registration period.

Race format and rules

Participants run repeated loops on a marked trail. Each loop is about 1.7 miles in length. Runners may stop, take breaks, or refuel during the six-hour event. Only fully completed loops within the six-hour period are counted; a lap in progress at the cutoff does not count. Loop checks are recorded in the start/finish area, and runners must display their bib number on the front of their shirt. Course direction and route will be marked with flags and signs; participants are asked to follow the markings rather than another runner.

Overall male and female winners are determined by the greatest distance completed within the six hours. Race merchandise from previous events, including t-shirts and hats, will be available for sale for $5. The Crazy Legs Race Series states its purpose is to promote non-pavement and pavement races in Northwest Indiana and to hold events in parks across Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties. The series welcomes participation regardless of gender identity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
