Save the Drama for your Llama 6 Hour Trail Run
This is a six-hour trail run held at Luhr County Park, 3178 S 150 W, La Porte, IN. Participants run repeated loops of a course that is about 1.7 miles per loop and attempt to complete as many full loops as possible within the six-hour time window. If a runner is in the middle of a lap when time expires, that lap does not count toward the total distance.
Lap counting and course management take place in the start/finish area, where staff check off each loop as runners arrive. Runners should wear their bib number on the front of their shirt. The course will be marked with flags and signs, and runners are asked to follow the course markings rather than another runner. Runners may stop, take breaks, and refuel during the six hours. Overall female and male winners are determined by who completes the most miles in the allotted time. All participants receive a Llama Hat. Items from the organizer’s other races will be available for sale for $5.
The event is part of the Crazy Legs Race Series, which supports non-pavement and pavement races in Northwest Indiana and stages events in parks across Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties. The series states that transgender runners may register under the gender they identify with without documentation and includes a land acknowledgment for the Indigenous nations who stewarded the area.
