Save the Drama for your Llama 6 Hour Trail Run

Save the Drama for your Llama is a timed trail running event held at Luhr County Park, 3178 S 150 W, La Porte, IN, on February 6, 2027. Participants run on a marked loop that is about 1.7 miles long and have a six-hour window to complete as many full laps as they can. Only fully completed loops count; a lap in progress when the six hours end is not counted.

Loops are recorded as runners arrive in the start/finish area; runners should wear their bib number on the front of their shirt. The overall female and male winners are those who complete the greatest distance within the six-hour period. The course will be marked with flags and signs; runners are asked to follow the course markings rather than another runner's line.

All participants receive a Llama Hat. Participants may stop, take breaks, or refuel during the six-hour period. Small items from other races will be available for purchase for five dollars.

The event is organized by the Crazy Legs Race Series, which develops and manages pavement and non-pavement races in Northwest Indiana, holding events in parks and areas of Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties. The series welcomes participation by all individuals regardless of sexual orientation, biological sex, gender identity, or gender expression; transgender runners may register as the gender they identify with without documentation. The organizer acknowledges the land as the seized territory of the Miami, Shawnee, and Illinois Nations and recognizes other peoples who have stewarded the area.
