Saundersfoot Triathlon
The Saundersfoot Triathlon is a sprint-distance event held in a coastal setting in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The race features a seaside course supported by significant crowd presence along the route. The competition consists of a single distance format:
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run.
The event begins with a self-seeded beach start for the 750m sea swim. Participants enter the water through two designated buoys on the shoreline and follow an anti-clockwise course. After completing the swim, athletes navigate a stadium-style transition area before starting the 20km bike segment. The cycling portion of the race takes place on local roads surrounding the coastal village.
The final leg is a 5k run that follows a flat course. This segment takes participants out to Wisemans Bridge and back along the seafront. The route concludes by passing through the Strand and finishes on a red carpet where finishers receive a medal. The course geography includes beach access, a slipway for water exit, and coastal paths. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
