Pendine Sands Races

Pendine Sands Races take place on Pendine Beach in Wales, with all events run on the same firm coastal sand course near Barnacles Cafe. For 2026, Marathon and Ultra have been added. Distances include 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon, and Ultra (32.8 miles).

The course is a fixed out-and-back: 5k is 2.5k out-and-back; 10k is a full 5.28 km out-and-back (10.5k); Half Marathon is two full out-and-backs; Marathon four; Ultra five. Start times are tide-dependent and announced closer to race day. The event is Cup-Free; participants must bring a reusable cup.

All finishers receive bespoke medals, with trophies for category winners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
