Sault Ste. Marie Riverfest 5K Color Run
The Riverfest/YAC 5K Color Run is scheduled for 08/15/2026 and is presented by local YAC groups from Sault Area High School and Rudyard High School. The event is the first Riverfest 5K Color Run organized by these groups.
The course begins at Rotary Island and follows a scenic route along the river and beyond. The event is family friendly and is explicitly not a timed race. Restroom facilities are available at Rotary Park, which serves as the start and finish area. T-shirt pickup is available on race day before the start. At the finish line participants can find water, Gatorade, bananas, and granola bars.
Registration opens on 06/01/2026 and closes on 07/15/2026. The registration fee is $20.00. All proceeds support the local YAC groups as they gain experience running a fundraising event that benefits youth in the community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
