Events
The Sault International Festival of Races is a two-day event in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. The first day features a 5 Mile Bridge Run that crosses the International Bridge. The second day features three events that do not cross the bridge: a Half Marathon, a 5K Run, and a 5K Walk. Virtual options are available for all distances.
Course Details
The 5 Mile Bridge Run starts and finishes on the historic campus of Lake Superior State University (LSSU), with the start/finish area at the LSSU Arts Center. The course offers views of the Soo Locks, LSSU, the St. Mary's Rapids, and passing freighters. Participants in this event are required to maintain a minimum pace of 15 minutes per mile to facilitate the bridge reopening; walking the entire course is not permitted. The Half Marathon and 5K events on the second day start and finish near downtown Sault Sainte Marie.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available the day before the event at the LSSU Arts Center. Race-day packet pickup is at separate locations for each day. Free parking is available on the LSSU campus for Day 1 and in downtown lots for Day 2. Aid stations with water and sports drink are provided along the courses. Post-race refreshments include water, sports drink, fruit, snacks, and granola bars.

All finishers receive a unique, themed medal for their respective day. Awards are given for the top overall, masters, and grand masters finishers, as well as the top three in each age group for all events.
