Sauk Valley Apple Cider Run
The Sauk Valley Apple Cider Run takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in Rock Falls, Illinois. The event offers three distances: a Half Marathon (13.17 miles), a 5K, and a Virtual Half Marathon. It starts and finishes at Selmi's Greenhouse and Farm Market.
The Half Marathon course features views of the countryside, including rolling hills and farmland. It has an elevation gain of 353 feet and includes segments such as Dillon Home to Sinnissippi, which goes through a wooded area and across the Rock River, and the Walking Bridge Heading South segment with views of the river.
Most of the course is on pavement, with approximately half a mile on grass. Water stations and porta potties are available on the course. The event proceeds in part to the Sinnissippi Centers CARES Fund Program.
Post-race refreshments include water, fruit, and granola bars. Participants receive a coupon for a free apple cider donut and drink from Selmi's. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers in each distance. Finisher medals are provided for Half Marathon participants, and age group medals are awarded for all distances.
Packet pickup is available on Friday at 7:24 Fitness on the Rock in Rock Falls or on Saturday morning at Selmi's. Race day registration is available from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
