Sauk Valley Apple Cider Run
The Sauk Valley Apple Cider Run is the 6th annual event in Rock Falls, Illinois, held on October 10, 2026. The event is based at Selmi's Greenhouse and Farm Market, 1206 Dixon Ave, Rock Falls, IL 61071, and includes multiple race options.

- 5K: 3.1 Miles
- Virtual Half Marathon: 13.1 Miles
The half marathon course is described as 13.17 miles with an elevation gain of 353 feet and includes two named segments: Dillon Home to Sinnissippi, which passes through a wooded area and crosses the Rock River, and Walking Bridge Heading South, which provides river and landscape views. The course starts and ends at Selmi's Greenhouse and Farm Market.
Post-race provisions at Selmi's include apple cider and apple donuts, along with music, food, and drinks. All proceeds from this year's event are donated to the Sinnissippi Centers CARES Fund Program. The CARES Fund provides emergency assistance to individual Sinnissippi clients and their families, commonly for rent assistance, utility assistance, and medication co-pay assistance, as well as other emergency needs related to employment and transportation that affect mental wellness and treatment engagement.
Registration opens February 1, 2026 and closes August 1, 2026. Registration fees listed are $50.00 for the half marathon and virtual half marathon, and $30.00 for the 5K. Bib and swag pick-up is available Friday 4:00-6:00 PM at 7:24 Fitness on the Rock Studio, 109 1st Ave, Rock Falls (enter through the south doors), and Saturday 7:00-8:00 AM at Selmi's next to the start and finish area.
