Kiolbassa’s Sauerkraut Bend - The Wurst 5K Run
Kiolbassa Smoked Meats hosts a chip-timed 5K in San Antonio that follows a flat, paved 3.2-mile course through the King William District and along the San Antonio Riverwalk. The in-person event is limited to the first 400 registrants and is held rain or shine.

Participants receive a custom race T-shirt, a finisher medal, and a Kiolbassa sausage with sauerkraut. A cold beer is available for participants 21 and older while supplies last. The event offers water stations at the halfway point and at the finish. The race is chip-timed and overall and age group awards are based on chip time.
Awards include overall male and female placements, first place male and female in standard age categories, and a best costume prize. A packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at the Kiolbassa Company Store, with participants asked to confirm T-shirt size at registration because exchanges are not available.
Fee tiers are listed for in-person and virtual entries, with separate pricing for early registration, later registration, race day, and the virtual option.
