Kiolbassa’s Sauerkraut Bend The Wurst 5K Run in Texas
Kiolbassa Smoked Meats hosts a community 5K at King William Park in San Antonio. The in-person course runs through the tree-lined streets of the historic King William District and along the San Antonio Riverwalk.
The event is chip-timed and requires the bib to be worn on the front. The course is a flat, 3.2-mile paved route. Water stations are located at the halfway point and at the finish.
Registration includes a custom race T-shirt, a finisher medal, a Kiolbassa sausage with sauerkraut, and a cold beer for participants aged 21 and over while supplies last. In-person registration is limited to the first 400 registrants. No refunds are offered. Fee structure listed by the organizer: in-person early-bird through July 1 $30; July 2 through Oct 2 $35; race day $40; virtual $45.
A virtual race option is available; virtual participants may complete the 3.2-mile distance between September 1 and October 10, 2026, and receive race swag. Packet pickup details will be provided later.
