The Winter Lucky Dip Run
The Winter Lucky Dip Run takes place in Staines at The Last Hop, Thames Edge Court. Runners and walkers are welcome and finishers may choose a medal from a selection of past event designs.
The event is run as a 7 hour Time Challenge that lets participants control their distance. The minimum official finisher distance is 3 km. A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but the lap may be changed to a shorter loop depending on course conditions. Distances available include:

- 10 km
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- 50 km
- Ultra Marathon
- Time Challenge
The course follows a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed and mainly on well made paths and tarmac with a short grass section. Road shoes are suitable for the course. The route is subject to change for health and safety reasons.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal. Distance pins are awarded for half-marathon distance or greater, including Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50 km and Ultra pins which are presented on the medal ribbon.
Entry prices range from £18 to £33. Members receive a £10 lower entry price, guaranteed entry and a mini me medal pin at events. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules; UK Athletics affiliated club members receive a £2 entry discount.
On event day there is an aid table with drinks and snacks including vegan options, goody bag choices including a vegan option, toilets at the venue, parking at Bridge Street Car Park and a nonsecure bag drop. Final race instructions are sent by email in the week before the event and number pick up is on the day at race registration.
