About the race
The London Running Festival takes place on Sunday 6th December 2026 at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The event village is based at Hopkins Meadow in North Park and the races use fully road-closed routes around the park.
Available race distances:
- 5K free entry by ballot; around 500 places available.
- 10K paid entry.
- Half Marathon paid entry.
Entries include a themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post-race goodies and a bag drop. The half marathon has three water stations, the 10K has one water station, and water is available at the finish for all races. There is a three hour cut-off due to road closures. Minimum ages are 11 for the 5K, 15 for the 10K and 17 for the half marathon. The half marathon consists of a mini lap plus two laps; the 10K and 5K are single laps.
Entry to the free RunThrough Foundation 5K is by ballot with three waves: closing 30 August 2026 (announced 3 September 2026), closing 25 October 2026 (announced 5 November 2026) and closing 22 November 2026 (announced 26 November 2026). A proportion of places will be prioritised for first-time runners and people from lower income areas. Only one application per email address is accepted.
The route passes landmarks such as the VeloPark, Copper Box Arena, Aquatics Centre, London Stadium, London Community Track, South Park and North Park. Stratford and Stratford International are the nearest stations and provide step-free access from entrance to platform. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
