Freedom Racing - Hurtwood 50k
Freedom Racing presents the Hurtwood 50k, a single-day trail ultra held on Sunday 6th December 2026 in the Surrey Hills. The event starts and finishes at Dorking Sports Centre, Reigate Road, Dorking.
The course is a fully signed long-distance trail route with extra race signage and regular checkpoints offering food and drinks at approximately 7, 13, 18 and 24 miles. The route is described as an out-and-back with a five-mile loop, providing sections where leading competitors can run faster. SportIdent electronic timing is used, with live leaderboards and published results.
Participants must be at least 16 years old on the event date. The published entry fee is £75.00. The planned time limit for completing the course is 10 hours, which accommodates walking competitors and first-time ultra entrants according to the event information.
A free TRIBE bar is provided at race registration. The organisers note the route and location are intended to be safe for those new to ultras.
