Event details
The Great British Bake Run takes place on 9 August 2026 at The Last Hop, Thames Edge, Clarence Street, Staines TW18 4SU. It is organised by Saturn Running as a 7-hour Time Challenge that lets participants choose their own distance. The minimum distance is 3 km. A cupcake medal that doubles as a magnet is awarded to finishers who complete at least 3 km. A baking competition will run alongside the event with entries placed on the aid table.
Course and facilities
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Surfaces are mainly well-made paths and tarmac with a short grass section; road shoes are suitable. There is an aid and drinks table at the start/finish of each lap with savoury and sweet options, including vegan choices. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the venue HQ. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines TW18 4TP. A bag drop is offered but it is not secure. Headphones are allowed.
