Great British Bake Run 2026 - Staines-upon-Thames
The event is organised by Saturn Running and takes place at The Last Hop, Unit 2, Thames Edge, Staines TW18 4SU. Themed around baking, the event features a cupcake medal that doubles as a fridge magnet and a baking competition with prizes for best tasting cake, best looking cake and best effort cake. Cakes entered into the competition will be available on the aid table to be eaten during the run.
The format is a 7 hour Time Challenge that lets each participant choose how many laps to run. The minimum recorded distance for an official finish is 3 km. A full lap measures 4.37 miles (about 7 km) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are 3 km and 5 km turn points within the lap to accommodate UK Athletics age rules. Laps required for common distances are given in the event details and a 50 km option is available.

The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed, and is mainly on well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section; road shoes are suitable year round. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive the cupcake medal; runners who cover a half marathon or more can collect distance pins to attach to their medal ribbon. A goody bag is provided with a vegan option. An aid table and drinks are available at the start and finish area with a selection of savoury and sweet snacks including vegan options. Venue toilets are available throughout the event but there are no separate changing rooms or showers. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines TW18 4TP.
