Great British Bake Run 2026 : Staines-upon-Thames
This event is a 7 hour Time Challenge held at The Last Hop, Thames Edge, Clarence Street, Staines TW18 4SU. The route runs along a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed and uses mainly well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable year round. An aid table and drinks table are provided at the start/finish of each lap with drinks and savoury and sweet snacks, including vegan options. Baking competition entries will be placed on the aid table and judged for best tasting, best looking and best effort.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a cupcake-shaped medal that doubles as a fridge magnet. Distance pins are issued for half-marathon distance and above; available pins include Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50 km and Ultra. Goody bags are provided to finishers, with a standard goody bag and a vegan goody bag option. Toilet facilities are available at the venue though there are no separate changing rooms or showers. A bag drop area is provided but it is not secure. Headphones are allowed. Final instructions are sent by email in the week before the event and number pick up is on the day at race registration.
