Great British Bake Run 2026 is organised by Saturn Running and takes place on 9 August 2026 at The Last Hop, Thames Edge, Clarence Street, Staines TW18 4SU. The event is run as a 7-hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose their own distance. The minimum distance to be an official finisher is 3 km. A full lap is listed as 4.37 miles (7 km) and may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The course includes 3 km and 5 km turn points to support younger entrants. Lap counts provided in the event information: three laps for a half marathon, six for a marathon, and seven or more for an ultra. A 50 km option is also offered. A member-only entry price of £23 is noted for members; published entry prices range from £18.00 to £35.00.
Course, facilities and extras
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed, and is mainly on well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable. An aid table and drinks table are available at the start/finish area of each lap with drinks and a selection of savoury and sweet snacks, including vegan options. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the venue HQ throughout the event. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines. A bag drop is provided but is not a secure facility. Headphones are allowed.

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a cupcake-shaped medal that doubles as a fridge magnet. Distance pins are issued for half-marathon distances and above. Finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is available. A baking competition with prizes for best tasting, best looking, and best effort cakes is included, with entries placed on the aid table.
