Event overview

Love it or Hate it Run is organised by Saturn Running and takes place on 11 April 2026 in Staines at The Last Hop, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street. Entry prices range from £18 to £35. A member-only entry price of £23 is available to members; members are guaranteed entry and receive a mini-pin at events. Number pick up is on the day at race registration. Final race instructions are sent by email in the week before the event.

Course and format

The event is a 7 hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose their distance. The minimum official finishing distance is 3 km. One lap is listed as 4.37 miles (about 7 km) and may be reduced to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are 3k and 5k turn points within the lap. Examples of lap counts given are 3 laps for a half marathon and 6 for a marathon. A 50 km distance and ultra options are available.

Facilities, kit and prizes

The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Surface is mainly paths and tarmac with a short grass section; road shoes are suitable year round. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a marmite-themed medal. Distance pins are issued for half-marathon distance and above and are attached to the medal ribbon. There are toilets and changing facilities at the venue, an aid and drinks table at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items, a goody bag for finishers including a vegan option, and non-secure bag storage. Headphones are allowed. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines TW18 4TP. Participants share public footpaths with other users.
