Event Overview
The Kew Gardens 10k takes place on fully closed roads within the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in Southwest London. The course is professionally measured and certified by England Athletics, featuring a flat tarmac surface with a total elevation gain of 63 feet throughout the entire route. This event is part of the Kew The Run weekend and is held inside a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its extensive botanical collection.
The route passes several key landmarks within the gardens, including the Palm House, Temperate House, and The Hive. Participants follow a fast circuit that starts and finishes inside the botanical grounds. To assist runners in meeting specific time goals, Xempo pace makers are present on the course.

A water station is located at the 4.7km mark, and course toilets are positioned at 1.5km, 3km, and 7.5km. Professional first aid and marshals are stationed throughout the course.
Spectator Information
Runners are permitted to bring two adults and two children under the age of 16 into the gardens for free, provided they enter through Elizabeth Gate before the gates close for the start of the race. Once inside, spectators may stay for the remainder of the day to explore the gardens.
Race number collection is available on the morning of the event near Elizabeth Gate or in advance from partner stores in Richmond, Putney, or Kingston in the days leading up to the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
