About the race
The Kew Gardens 10K is a 10 km road race held inside the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in southwest London on 3rd April 2027. The course runs on fully closed, tarmac roads within the Gardens and is professionally measured and England Athletics certified (RUN ENGLAND licence 29894). The organiser states the route has a net drop of 5 ft and a total climb of 63 ft.
The route passes Kew’s key attractions, including the Palm House, Temperate House and The Hive. On-course facilities include official chip timing, a water station at 4.7 km, course toilets at approximately 1.5 km, 3 km and 7.5 km, first aid cover, marshals and sweep marshals. Pacemakers from Xempo, course entertainment such as DJs and cheer stations, a race medal, goody bag and post-race snacks are provided.
Each race place includes entry for up to two adults and two children (under 16) to Kew Gardens for supporters; spectators must enter via Elizabeth Gate before the gates close for the race. Race numbers can be issued on race morning from Kew Green near Elizabeth Gate, and advance collection is available from partner stores in Richmond, Putney and Kingston.
Minimum age is 15 years on race day. Entries are non-transferable and non-deferrable; a full refund is available only within 14 days of payment. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
