Event overview
The Kew Gardens 10K takes place on 28th March 2026 inside the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (Elizabeth Gate, SW London, TW9). The event is a 10K run on fully closed roads within the botanical gardens. The route passes key garden attractions including the Palm House, Temperate House and The Hive. The event holds a Run England full race licence (29894). Minimum age to enter is 15 years on race day.
Course and race information
The course is flat and tarmac, professionally measured and certified. The new course has a net drop of 5 ft and a total climb of 63 ft. Official chip timing is used. A water station is provided at 5.7 km. Xempo pacemakers, full marshal coverage, sweep marshals and first aid cover are in place. Finishers receive a medal and goody bag; a technical race t-shirt is available, including a female cut option. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers, with a trophy and an entry into a Run-Fest event.
Race numbers can be collected on race morning or picked up from a local sports shop two weeks before the event. Entries are non-transferable and non-deferable; a full refund is only available within 14 days of payment. Spectator access on race morning: each race place allows two adults and two children (under 16) to enter Kew Gardens free if they enter via Elizabeth Gate before the gardens close for the private event.
