The Dashing Dog Charity Run
The event is organised by Saturn Running and takes place on Sunday 22 March 2026 at The Last Hop, Unit 2, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, Staines, TW18 4SU. A £2.00 surcharge on every entry will go to local dog rehoming charities. There is an optional £3.00 donation for a doggie pin; Saturn will match each £3.00, so charities receive £6.00 per pin. There is also an optional £5.00 donation, and Saturn will donate 10% of race profits to the charities for entry-only participants. A £25.00 entry price is available only to members; members are guaranteed entry and receive a mini-me medal pin at events.
Race format, course and facilities
The event is a 7-hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose their distance. The minimum distance is 3 km. A full lap is 4.37 miles (7 km) and may be a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. Distances and lap counts include:
- 3 km minimum
- 7 km / 4.37 miles full lap
- Half-marathon = 3 laps
- Marathon = 6 laps
- Ultra = 7 or more laps
- 50 km available
The course runs along the River Thames, is fully signed, and is mainly well made paths and tarmac with a short grass section; road shoes are suitable year-round. Aid and drinks tables are at the start/finish of each lap with snacks and vegan options. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a dog-themed medal; distance pins are available for half-marathon and longer. Goody bags are provided, with a vegan option on request. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the venue. Parking is available in Bridge Street Car Park, Staines, TW18 4TP. Number pick up is on the day at race registration.
