Event overview
The Dashing Dog Charity Run is organised by Saturn Running and takes place on Sunday 22 March 2026 in Staines, at The Last Hop, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, TW18 4SU. The event raises money for local dog rehoming charities: a £2.00 surcharge is added to every race entry and 100% of that goes to local rehoming charities. An optional £3.00 donation buys a doggie pin; Saturn matches each £3.00 donation so charities receive £6.00 per pin. For entry-only purchases, Saturn donates 10% of race profits. Members have a reduced entry price and receive a mini-me medal pin at events; members are also guaranteed entry.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a dog-themed medal. Distance pins are available for longer achievements, and a goody bag is provided to finishers with a vegan option. There is a place to leave a bag at the start/finish area, but it is not secure. Headphones are allowed. Final race instructions are sent by email before the event and number pick up is on the day at registration.
Course, distances and facilities
The course follows a stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed, mainly on well-made paths and tarmac, with a short grass section. Road shoes are suitable year round. An aid and drinks table is available at the start/finish of each lap with drinks, savoury and sweet snacks and vegan options.

- 7 km / 4.37 miles full lap (may change to a 3.28 mile loop)
- Half-marathon = 3 laps
- Marathon = 6 laps
- Ultra = 7 laps or more
- 50 km distance available
