The Pilgrim Challenge

The Pilgrim Challenge is a two day trail event that follows a celebrated section of the North Downs Way between Farnham and Redhill. The route passes through woodlands, rolling fields, historic villages and churches, and uses established National Trail tracks. GPX files are provided and the course is clearly signed.

Support on the route includes staffed aid stations, luggage transfers, hot meals and evening talks for participants who stay overnight. Accommodation included with the event is in a local school hall, and minibus shuttles run to a small set of partner hotels. Parking for the full weekend is available at Sandy Farm Business Park but the site is locked overnight on Saturday.

Safety and navigation are managed by a Course Manager and a qualified medical crew. Organisers publish a compulsory kit list; required items include a fully charged mobile phone, at least 500 ml of water, a waterproof jacket and a head torch if likely to finish in the dark. Additional equipment may be made compulsory depending on weather.
