Saturn Midweek Chasing Numbers : February 6, 2026

This is a seven hour timed challenge where each participant chooses how far to run. The minimum official distance is 3 km. A full lap is listed as 4.37 miles (7 km) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The lap includes a 3 km turn point and a 5 km turn point to support UK Athletics age rules.

Distances and common lap counts:

  • Minimum distance: 3 km.
  • Full lap normally 4.37 miles or 7 km.
  • Three laps equals a half marathon.
  • Six laps equals a marathon.
  • Seven laps or more counts as an ultra; 50 km option available.

The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Surfaces are mainly well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section; road shoes are suitable. The regular course may be adjusted after a health and safety review.

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a medal and a goody bag, with a vegan goody bag available. Distance pins are provided for half-marathon and longer achievements. An aid table and drinks are provided at the start/finish of each lap with sweet and savoury options including vegan choices. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the venue. A bag drop is offered but is not secure. Headphones are allowed. The event is held on public footpaths and participants are asked to be considerate of other path users.

Additional event details: maximum 300 entrants, entries close 05/02/2026, minimum age 12. Runners over 45 km must be 20 years or older; 18 and 19 year olds may run up to 45 km.
