Saturn Running Star Weiners 50th Anniversary Run Northampton
This event is a themed Time Challenge run held at Northampton Active around the Northampton Washlands on well maintained paths and trail. The format gives participants seven hours of running time and allows each runner to choose how many laps to complete. A full lap is described as 7 km (4.37 miles) though the route may be shortened after a health and safety review. A 3 km turn point and a 5 km turn point are provided within the lap to support UK Athletics age rules.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed finisher medal. Distance pins are awarded for half-marathon distance and above; available pins include Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50 km and Ultra. Finishers receive a goody bag, with a vegan option available.
The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and is held under UK Athletics rules. Runners who are members of a UK Athletics affiliated club receive a £2.00 discount. Members of the organiser receive a reduced entry price and a participation pin; members are also guaranteed entry.
Venue facilities include toilets but no separate changing rooms or showers. Limited parking is available at the venue and additional nearby parking may incur charges. There will be an aid and drinks table at the start and finish of each lap. Headphones are allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
