Midweek Chasing Numbers Oct 2026
The Midweek Chasing Numbers event is a timed running challenge held at the Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club in Egham. This event is designed as a flexible opportunity for participants to pursue personal goals or increase their total number of completed races. The format is a 7 hour time challenge, which grants runners control over their final distance. Participants must complete at least one 3 km segment to be recognized as an official finisher.
The course follows a signed route along the River Thames. Approximately 60% of the surface consists of tarmac or well-made paths, while the remaining 40% is comprised of grass and light trail. While road shoes are suitable for the terrain throughout the year, trail shoes may be used for better grip on the grass sections. Full laps are approximately 7 km (4.37 miles), though this is subject to change based on course conditions. Specific distances can be achieved by completing a set number of laps:
- 3 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half Marathon (3 laps)
- Marathon (6 laps)
- 50 km
- Ultra Marathon (7 or more laps)
The event includes an aid station at the start and finish of each lap, offering a variety of sweet and savoury snacks, including vegan options. Facilities at the race headquarters include toilets and a cafe. Finishers receive a medal and a goody bag, with specific distance pins available for those completing a half marathon or further.
