Self Transcendence 24 Hour Track Race : Millennium Stadium, Battersea Park
This is a 24 hour track race held annually at Millennium Stadium, Battersea Park, London, and in 2026 it incorporates the British 24 Hour Championships. The event is IAU Bronze Label accredited and holds a UK Athletics Level 2 permit.
The race is limited to 55 competitors and is open only to runners with recent ultra experience of at least 100 km distance or 12 hour duration. Entries open on 4 February 2026 and the organisers operate a waiting list when entries exceed the field limit. Competitors are selected on previous experience and potential.
On-site support includes lap counters, sports physiotherapists, trackside refreshments with hot and cold drinks and snacks, and race officials including a referee and time keeper. Facilities at the stadium include trackside parking, space for tents or support stations, a large tent for kit storage with tables, limited chairs, portable toilets, heated indoor changing rooms and a heated physio treatment room. Vegetarian evening meal, breakfast and post-race lunch are provided.
Race procedure follows IAU and UKA rules: no pacing from supporters on the track, numbered bibs including a chip must be worn, direction of running changes regularly during the event, and live results are available on a leaderboard. Competitors may take breaks if they inform the lap counter. A final marker procedure is used to record the last partial lap at the end of the 24 hours.
