Event overview
Midweek Chasing Numbers is a midweek time-challenge run held at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham. The event is flexible in how long each participant runs and walkers are welcome. A reduced entry price of £20 is available to members; members are guaranteed entry and receive a mini medal pin at each event. Final race day instructions will be sent by email and race numbers are picked up on the day at registration.
Course, distances and facilities
- Minimum distance 3 km.
- Full lap normally 4.37 miles (7 km); may change to a 3.28 mile loop.
- 3 laps equals a half-marathon.
- 6 laps equals a marathon.
- 7 or more laps counts as an ultra.
- 50 km distance option available.
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. About 60% is on path or tarmac and the rest is grass and light trail that can be muddy at times. Road shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes may be used for extra grip. Aid and drinks tables are available at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a medal; distance pins are given for half-marathon and longer achievements. Toilets, changing facilities and a cafe are at race HQ. Bag drop is unmanned and items are left at the participant’s own risk. Headphones are allowed. Car parking is available at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds (pay on exit).
