The Dun Holm Challenge Day 2
Day 2 of the Dun Holm 5 in 5 Days Challenge follows a Durham route with a themed medal that features the place name Durham made up of local place names. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules. Members of UK Athletics affiliated clubs receive a £2.00 entry discount.
This is a seven hour time challenge that lets participants choose their distance. The minimum official finishing distance is 3 km. A full lap is 4.37 miles (7 km) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are 3 km and 5 km turn points within the lap to support younger runners and comply with UK Athletics age rules.

The course is a signed trail along the River Wear with views of the Cathedral. Aid and drinks tables are available at the start/finish of each lap with sweet and savoury options and vegan choices. Finishers who complete 3 km receive a themed medal; distance pins are awarded for half-marathon distance and above and are attached to the medal ribbon. Race HQ offers toilets and changing facilities. A bag drop is provided but is unstaffed and items are left at the participant's responsibility. Pay and display parking is available nearby; participants must not use the rowing club car park. Headphones are permitted. Age-based maximum distances apply as stated by the organiser.
