Event overview
Christmas Day Cracker Run 2025 takes place on 25/12/2025 at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham TW20 0AA. The event is a 7 hour Time Challenge that lets participants choose how many laps to run. The minimum distance to be an official finisher is 3 km.
Distances available include:
- 3 km minimum finishing distance
- 7 km full lap (4.37 miles)
- Half marathon (3 laps)
- Marathon (6 laps)
- 50 km option and ultra distances (7 laps or more)
A full lap may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are 3k and 5k turn points on the lap to support younger runners and UK Athletics distance rules.
Race details and facilities
A headtorch is listed as compulsory kit for the first hour of the event. The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Completing at least 3 km earns an official finisher medal. Distance pins are given to runners who complete a half marathon or longer within the 7 hour limit.
Finishers receive a goody bag with a vegan option available on request. The event provides a Christmas present and a Christmas Dinner aid table with roast potatoes, parsnips, sprouts, roast ham and a nut roast, plus mince pies and a small tipple. Toilets and changing facilities are available at race HQ. There is an unmanned bag area and a large pay-on-exit carpark at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Headphones are allowed.
