The Nearly But Not Quite London Marathon - Wales
This event, organised by Saturn Too Limited as a franchise partner of Saturn Running, is a 7 hour Time Challenge held at Dare Valley Country Park, Aberdare. The format allows participants to choose their own distance with a minimum official finisher distance of 3 km.
A full lap is listed as 4.37 miles (7 km) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The route includes a 3 km turn point and a 5 km turn point within the lap to support compliance with UK Athletics age rules. Laps required by distance include three laps for a half marathon, six for a marathon, and seven or more for an ultra. A 50 km option is also available.

The course runs on well maintained footpaths around Dare Valley Country Park with countryside views. Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start and finish of each lap, offering drinks, snacks and vegan options; ice cream is available for finishers. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal, and distance pins are awarded for half, mega-half, marathon, 50 km and ultra distances. Venue facilities include toilets and a nearby cafe, free parking, and a non-secure bag drop. Bone conducting headphones only are permitted.
