SATURN Great British Bake Run 2026
This event is a 7 hour time challenge held at The Last Hop, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, Staines TW18 4SU. Entrants choose how far to run within the seven hour window; the minimum distance for a finisher is 3 km.
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed, and is mostly well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable year round. The regular lap measures 4.37 miles (about 7 km) but may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are 3 km and 5 km turn points within the lap to enable compliance with UK Athletics age rules.
Lap counts for reference include 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 laps for a marathon, and 7 or more laps for an ultra. A 50 km option is also available. Distance pins are awarded for half-marathon, mega-half, marathon, 50 km and ultra achievements. Finishing any distance of at least 3 km qualifies for the event’s cupcake medal which doubles as a magnet.
Aid and drinks tables are located at the start and finish of each lap with a selection of savoury and sweet snacks including vegan options. Goody bags are provided with a vegan alternative. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the venue HQ throughout the event. Limited parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park TW18 4TP.
