Saturn 7 Hour Time Challenge Staines upon Thames
This is a 7 hour time challenge held at The Last Hop in Staines upon Thames. Runners may choose how many laps to run on a signed loop beside the River Thames. The course is mainly well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section, and road shoes are suitable year round. The regular lap is 7 km or 4.37 miles but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. A 3 km turn point and a 5 km turn point are provided within the lap to allow compliance with UK Athletics age distance rules.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a cupcake medal that also works as a fridge magnet. Distance pins are awarded for half marathon distance and above with pins for Half Marathon, Mega Half, Marathon, 50 km and Ultra. Aid and drinks provision is available at the start finish area each lap with a selection of drinks and sweet and savoury snacks including vegan options. A baking competition will take place with prizes and cakes placed on the aid table to be eaten during the event.
Toilets and changing facilities are available at the venue HQ. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park in Staines. A secure bag service is not provided and items should not be left valuable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
