Event Overview
The Saturn 7 Hour Time Challenge - Ooops I Ran It Again is a timed running event held in Staines-upon-Thames. Participants have seven hours to complete their chosen distance along a course following the River Thames. The event follows a lap-based format where runners can manage their own pace and total distance. The terrain consists primarily of well-made paths and tarmac with a short grass section. The route is fully signed and no navigational experience is required.
Runners become official finishers by completing a minimum distance of 3 km. The primary lap is approximately 7 km (4.37 miles), though this may change to a 5.28 km (3.28 mile) loop depending on the condition of the course. Specific turn points are identified at 3 km and 5 km to assist younger participants in meeting UK Athletics distance regulations.
The available distances based on completed laps include:
- 3 km
- 7 km
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- 50 km
- Ultra Marathon
Facilities and Support
The event headquarters at The Last Hop includes toilets and changing facilities which remain open for the duration of the challenge. An aid station is located at the start and finish of each lap, providing a selection of sweet and savoury snacks, fruit, and vegan options. A baggage area is available, although it is not a secure lock-up.
All finishers receive a themed medal and a goody bag, with a specific vegan version available upon request. Participants who complete a distance of a half marathon or further are eligible for specific distance pins to attach to their medal ribbon.
