7 Hour Time Challenge
The Saturn Labyrinth 40th Anniversary Run is a timed event that grants participants full control over their distance. Set along a stretch of the River Thames in Staines-upon-Thames, the event features a course primarily composed of tarmac and well-made paths with a short grass section. The route is fully signed and follows a loop. A full lap is 7 km (4.37 miles), though this may be adjusted to a 3.28 mile loop depending on ground conditions. Minimum participation requires completing 3 km to be considered an official finisher.
Participants can choose to complete various distances during the 7 hour limit:
- 7 km (one full lap)
- Half Marathon (three laps)
- Marathon (six laps)
- 50 km
- Ultra (seven or more laps)
The event is open to runners and walkers of all abilities, with specific turn points at 3 km and 5 km to accommodate younger participants adhering to distance regulations. The course is flat and suitable for standard road shoes.
An aid station located at the start and finish of each lap provides a selection of sweet and savoury snacks, fruit, cheese, and vegan options. All finishers receive a themed medal and a goody bag, with a dedicated vegan goody bag available. Those who complete a half marathon distance or further are also eligible for specific distance pins. Facilities at the venue headquarters include toilets and changing rooms, accessible from 8 am. Parking is available at the Bridge Street Car Park.
