Midweek Chasing Numbers
The event on 12 June 2026 takes place at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham. It is organised as a seven hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose how many laps or kilometres they complete, with a minimum recognised finish of 3 km.
A full lap is typically 7 km (about 4.37 miles) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The lap contains 3 km and 5 km turn points to accommodate UK Athletics distance rules. Laps required for standard distances are: three laps for a half marathon, six for a marathon and seven or more for an ultra. A 50 km option is also available.
Distances offered include:
- 3 km minimum distance
- 5 km event option
- 10 km event option
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- 50 km
- Ultra Marathon
- Time Challenge entry
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. About 60% of the route is on a well-made path or tarmac; the remainder is grass and light trail and can become muddy. Road running shoes may be used year round; trail shoes are an option for extra grip. The regular course may be adjusted subject to safety review and landowner approval.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a medal. Distance pins are awarded for half-marathon and longer finishes and are attached to the medal ribbon. Finishers receive a goody bag with a vegan option. An aid table and drinks are provided at the start/finish of each lap offering savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Toilets, changing facilities and a cafe are available at race HQ. Bag drop is unmanned and items are left at the participant's own risk. There is a pay on exit car park at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Headphones are allowed and the event is held on public footpaths where other path users may be present. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
