Flexible Midweek Running Event
The Midweek Chasing Numbers is a multi-distance event held at the Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club in Egham. This event is designed as a 7 hour Time Challenge, giving participants control over the distance they choose to complete. The course follows a signed route along the River Thames, consisting of approximately 60% well-made paths or tarmac and 40% grass and light trail.
Participants run on a lap-based system. A full lap is 4.37 miles (7 km), though this may change to a 3.28 mile loop based on course conditions. Smaller turn points at 3 km and 5 km are available to ensure younger runners can meet distance regulations.
Available distances include:
- 3 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half Marathon (3 laps)
- Marathon (6 laps)
- 50 km
- Ultra Marathon (7 or more laps)
The event is open to all abilities, including walkers. Facilities at the race headquarters include toilets, changing areas, and a cafe. An aid station at the end of each lap provides a variety of sweet, savoury, and vegan food options. All participants who complete at least 3 km receive a medal and a goody bag, with special distance pins awarded for completing a half marathon distance or further. Large pay-on-exit parking is available at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
