Saturn Too Midweek Medal Madness - Birthday Run
This is a 7 hour Time Challenge held by Saturn Too on a looped course along a stretch of the River Thames. Runners choose how many laps to complete; the minimum recorded distance for an official finish is 3 km. A full lap is about 7 km (4.37 miles) and the course may be altered depending on conditions. There are 3k and 5k turn points within the lap to help younger runners comply with UK Athletics distance rules.
The surface is mainly well made paths and tarmac with a short grass section, so road shoes are suitable. The route is fully signed and may be adjusted after a health and safety review. Headphones are allowed. Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start/finish of each lap with a selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items.
Facilities at the venue include toilets, changing rooms and a bag-drop area (unattended). Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a themed medal and a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is available. Distance pins are awarded for half-marathon and longer achievements. The event accommodates transfers and deferrals under specified fees and applies age restrictions for longer distances. Maximum entrants are 300.
